Ben who holds UEFA Pro Licence and LMA’s Football management Diploma began his professional coaching career at Crystal Palace Football Club in 2005 where he spent the next 7 years as a youth coach in the Academy and during this time the Academy produced players including Victor Moses, Nathaniel Clyne, Wilfried Zaha etc. He was then later promoted to First Team Coach at Palace and was in the position until 2015.

Ben later joined West Bromwich Albion and was reunited with Tony Pulis and was then been promoted as Assistant Head Coach.

Ben speaks on his new challenge, “I am delighted to have joined ATK FC until the end of their season and hopefully I can help the team finish strongly. I have always had the ambition to work abroad and am really looking forward to the challenge of the Indian Super League”.

“Steve called me just after Christmas to ask if I’d be interested and we quickly got everything agreed. As a young player growing up he was manager of Crystal Palace and someone that I looked up to. I’ve worked with some very experienced managers and Steve is another highly experienced and clever manager that I can learn from. Working with him will undoubtedly make me a better coach and manager.”

Sporting Group International CEO, Adrian Wright added, “having been associated with the Indian Super League from it’s inception and managing a roster of players in the League, it was a straight forward process for us to support ATK in their recruitment of Ben”.

“Being a former West Brom Director and knowing Ben’s capabilities, I had first hand knowledge he would be an ideal fit and will have an instant impact on ATK’s fortunes on the pitch - we wish him all the best”
